NEW WAVE POP PUNK ANTHEMS BUILT FOR MISFITS *
Founded by flaco, WEAREOKAY began as a reset. After years in successful music projects that always felt boxed in creatively, he stripped everything back and started writing without a rulebook. The result was fast, melodic, emotionally charged songs built for the high highs and the low lows. He sent early demos to longtime collaborator Stephen Henry, known as Snowdreamer, who was living in North Carolina at the time. Within weeks, Stephen moved west to help turn the project into a real band. With drummer Nick Wejbe completing the lineup, WEAREOKAY quickly shifted from idea to execution.
Rooted in Southern California, the band’s identity is shaped by skate parks, early surf sessions, and long coastal drives as much as loud guitars and cathartic sing-along hooks. Their songs are for misfits who feel everything deeply and learn to laugh through the chaos. There is weight in the writing, but the release is explosive, driven by urgent tempos, sharp melodies, and a live show that feels raw, physical, and immediate.
Now preparing to release their debut EP, WEAREOKAY is building momentum across Southern California with a focused, performance-driven approach. This is not a nostalgia project or a side venture. It is a deliberate operation built for packed rooms, shared catharsis, and steady growth, turning volume, honesty, and community into something bigger every show.
